Overview

Hyperia Wordsmith is a flexible Content Management System (CMS) that gives you the power to update content on the website yourself without requiring expensive software or specialist skills, yet still maintaining the look of a professionally designed website. The CMS has the following features:

  • Web-based Interface
    The Content Management System allows full control of content on the website directly from a web browser, permitting the site to be updated from any location with Internet access, at any time.
  • WYSIWYG Editing
    WYSIWYG stands for What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get. First conceived in the era of Desktop Publishing, the concept of WYSIWYG and web content pertains to editing websites as you see them, using formatting tools akin to Microsoft Word.
  • Image Resizing
    The content editor lets you add images to web pages straight from your PC, Mac or a digital camera and have them automatically shrink to the right size without worrying about whether they're optimised for fast downloads and having to fiddle with complicated photo-editing software.
  • Secure Login
    Only authorised personnel will be able to gain access to the system in order to change or add content. This is achieved using a simple but secure username/password prompt.
  • Attachments
    Additional files, such as Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, Acrobat PDFs, and so on, can be attached to your content for users to download and find out further information.
  • Events Calendar
    Specific items of content can be designated as "events" so that they are automatically added to a easy-to-navigate events calendar that highlights the dates on which events occur.

    Using a technology called RSS, content from other suitably-equipped websites can be syndicated and published within your own website, allowing you to aggregate information from various sources.
  • Alerts
    Registered users can subscribe so they automatically receive email alerts when new content is added into the Content Management System.
